Marina Bay Lifestyle

Lake Lanier

Lake Lanier (Officially Lake Sidney Lanier) is the most popular lake in the Southeast. Lanier is the largest lake in Georgia, having nearly 700 miles of shoreline spread over 38,000 acres or 59 square miles of water. The water in Lake Lanier comes from Georgia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. The rain falls on the mountains, runs over beautiful waterfalls, and then makes its way down to Lake Lanier via the Chattahoochee and Chestatee Rivers. Four seasons of fun and every type of fishing, boating, cruising, skiing or just paddling in the cove – an entire world of water fun is right outside your backyard in Marina Bay.

Home to one of the largest residential Lake Lanier marinas, Marina Bay has 280 private slips available for boat lovers in the community. Dry storage is no problem as the Community also has its own private dry storage area for boats, trailers and RVs.

Clubhouse and Pool

At 14,000 square feet, the clubhouse features a soaring fireside grand room, a fireside library, fully equipped kitchen, sound system, terrace-level game & card rooms all professionally decorated and inspired by the renowned lake-club resorts from the Adirondacks to the Appalachians. The free-form pool is accompanied with a sloped walk-in shallow splash pool surrounded by a poolside summer kitchen, a fireside pavilion, and a special events lawn.

Fitness Center

The fitness center adjoining the clubhouse is fully equipped with all the latest exercise equipment, free weights, television and a view of both the lake and the pool.

Tennis Village

The Tennis Village at Marina Bay consists of three lit tennis courts with grandstand seating.

Parks, Playgrounds and Sports Fields

Serving as a centerpiece is Horseshoe Park, which features a full baseball diamond and an outfield large enough to hold neighborhood soccer games.

Elegant Private Gated Entry & Community Sidewalks

From the moment you enter Marina Bay’s main gate, you can breathe easy knowing you’ve left the hectic day behind. Our grand, gated community offers privacy and limited-access where you can relax and enjoy the best life has to offer. Winding beneath a beautiful canopy of trees that display ever-changing color with the seasons are wide sidewalks, perfect for an afternoon stroll through the neighborhood or a brisk morning jog.

Your Marina Bay Families

After enduring 20 years in the ultra-competitive, cookie-cutter subdivisions down 400, we found ourselves empty-nesters looking for a community that had a great location, lake amenities, and unique upscale homes. We found all that in Marina Bay. What we didn’t expect, and what turned out to be the best feature of all, is the friendly, welcoming nature of the residents. We feel like we were willing to settle for Six Flags with strangers and ended up living in Disneyworld with friends!

Gainesville is small town America in the middle of Atlanta’s mayhem. We’ve found a slice of heaven here. Marina Bay is the perfect mix of lake living, incredible amenities and the best neighbors anyone could ever hope for.

The question is “Why Marina Bay”.
The first way to answer this is to start with why North Georgia? The attraction is much more than the climate. The proximity to the mountains, the North Georgia wine country, and some wonderful gifts from nature all make this area a treasure. The second way to answer is to appreciate the city of Gainesville and all it offerings. Gainesville retains the small town feel with the center square and Green Street while providing abundant local shopping. There is an abundant cultural offing available in the city. Activities provided by the Gainesville Arts Council, the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, and the Gainesville Theater Alliance associated with the University of North Georgia all provide a broad spectrum of entertainment. If this is a concern, the city also provides a recognized medical community. The third way to answer to answer this question is to simply drive through the front gate. The landscaping, the clubhouse and pool and the marina all convey that resort type atmosphere. The fact that each home, while providing a cottage style appeal, are all unique in detail.

The question is “Why Marina Bay”.
Diane and I moved into Marina Bay approximately four years ago, and we have truly enjoyed the social opportunities with our neighbors and friends, beautiful amenities, and the relaxed lifestyle at Marina Bay. We are always proud to show our families and friends around our beautiful neighborhood and enjoy giving them tours of the Marina Bay Clubhouse, as well as the pool, gazebo and outdoor fireplace, tennis courts, and the private Marina.

We have lived in the Gainesville area and on Lake Lanier for 19 years, the last eight have been in Marina Bay. It is a very pretty and peaceful place to call home.  I love the fact that I have the lake to the south and mountains to the north, wildlife wandering through the neighborhood, rich amenities, and an active social life, all within a gated community.  Plus, all the attractions of Atlanta are only an hour away.
